Can anyone recommend any quilt shops in the Sarasota area?
Taking a vacation there soon and like to shop a bit for fabrics.

Especially since I'll be unable to quilt for 2 weeks-I'll probably go thru withdrawal ! But I am taking some english paper piecing (hexagons) with me. Good portable project.

Thanks,
Diane

There is a beautiful quilt shop on Rte 41 south of Venice which is not too far from Sarasota. It is called Quilts and More, there is one in Sarasota, but I do not know the name of it. It is located very close to the Ringling Bros. Museum and not far from the airport. Enjoy

The folks at Cotton Patch are really nice.

There's also a shop just off of 41 in Ellenton, if you wanted to go that far north. A Quilter's Haven. Small, but nice selection and very friendly staff.
