civil war quilts

does anyone do these civil wars quilts that Ive been seeing in quilting catalogs? I love the colors. So homey and comforting.

I have not pieced one but I am quilting one for someone right now. Seeing it makes me want to do one for myself and the civil war repro prints have really grown on me.

I've made a few for my daughter and her hubby. They do civil war reenactment..... I love the look of them

where did you get your patterns for the civil war quilts?

I am currently working on "The Long Road Home" quilt for my son. I can't tell you how much easier my life is when I decided to order the 'kit'. Having to pick out all those fabrics myself....well, let's just say the LQS might not be OPEN long enough for me to make all those decisions :-D

Have some kits and BOMs. Haved done a couple of quilts. Love the colors and fabrics. Especially Jo Morton.

I love these warm colors..:) Did you pick out the colors or is this a kit?

The quilt was a Block of the Month club (BOM) through my friends Local Quilt Shop (LQS).

The quilting designs I am using I designed myself using Victorian motifs and some stencils that have that same sort of look. No pattern involved for the quilting.
