Clealy Perfect Angles or Painters tape?

I started with the Angler but like the Clearly Perfect better. It clings, no tape needed. I leave it on my machine for whatever I'm sewing. A quick rinse under warm water and it sticks like new.

I have an angler and do use it a lot. However, I looked at the Eleanor Burns one and it look interesting. I will probably get one to try it out.

I have something similar to that. Bought it a long time ago. Think I used it once or so, put it in a drawer and it has been there forever.

I have the Easy Angler 2 that I used with my side load bobbin machine. Went to a drop in bobbin machine and agree, it's a pain to have to re-align it after changing bobbins. I might have to check out the EB one.

I agree.I have tried both and like the Angler 2 much better. I think you can still buy this.

Look up Bonnie Hunter and her site. She explains how she marks her machines. She likes vintage machines and has quite a collection. It's how she marks each machine so she can sew on any of them and still have a 1/4" seam. Hope this helps.

I agree, Bonnie Hunter sews on a multitude of different machines and posted about setting up for a seam without having to remove anything when opening the slide plate to change bobbins. quiltville.blogspot.com/2012/08/sewing-saturday.html

I sew things other than quilts so I use different seam allowances. Even on a quilt I use a different one for the binding and backing than I do the rest of the quilt. So I would rather not have to remove and reset a guide over and over.
