Default FMQ for Card Trick Quilt

How would you quilt this on your domestic machine? I have limited Free Motion Quilting skills, but am tired of doing a grid on almost everything. I need suggestions and HELP!! It's a small child's size quilt. If anyone has a website that shows quilting choices for various block send it on down. I just hope the photo comes through ok. Thank you in advance.

Your quilt is wonderful! You could do stitch in the ditch around each set of cards and then do a very small, tight stipple in the white areas. I think that any type of FMQ would be very nice - no need to stress about the exact design. The child will love it regardless.

Your quilt is very pretty. I'm not good at choosing quilting patterns, but I did hear a tip about auditioning patterns by drawing them on an overlay and laying that on your quilt.

I found this one by doing a Google search for images for "quilting motif for card trick quilt". I like what he's done in the colored blocks. http://quiltfool.blogspot.com/2012/1...thing-new.html

Someone posted a link a while back on using your walking foot to quilt. It was posted by tate_elliott under the title Walking FootQuestion. It has a link to 31 Days of Walking Foot Quilting that might help.

Everytime I see this quilt pattern, I think "next time, I'm going to make this"! Lovely quilt.

You could anchor the inside of the block by stitching in the ditch, use cookie cutters or color book animals, stars, etc for shapes in each card, then stipple in the white. You could use the same shapes here and there in the border.
