Thanks ladies for the info. I needed to know that too. Next i need to know how to stitch a label to the back (pls tell me there is a way other than a needle in my hand :-( i don't like hand stitching)

The only way I know is to stitch it on to the back before you quilt it.

If I remember correctly what my mom told me (btw, she puts her in the bottom corner on the back) she makes hers and sews it into the corner along the one side that isnt on the edge and then when she does the binding the other two sides are sewn in to the binding...I don't know if this makes sense or not, but I tried to explain it the best way I could. Pictures or a visual makes it easier to understand...

If it is a quilt for a dear family member I include a personal message along with the documentation. AKA... on t-shirt quilt for my DS....

i add a poem to most of mine---significance of the design--care instructions date year [sometimes when started when finished]
