One more reason to starch?
#1
Yesterday I noticed that my rotary blade was feeling dull. Well it was not
really the blade which I had just cleaned (with WD40) but it was the fabric
which had been washed but not yet starched. As I was cutting the overlock
seams the fabric was getting stuck in the mat. Finally I gave up and used
my scissors. Now I know why my mat usually stays pretty clean when I cut
starched fabric but this sure made quite a mess.
Just thought I'd share my little experience. :-D
Happy quilting.

I too just learned the value of using starch. Last weekend I purchaed a quart of concentrated starch and new spray bottle. Now I know I will not run out for a while. Thanks for the tip on starching before you cut, I will try this out.

glad you got your rotary cutter fixed
I removed the blade before wiping with WD40. My rotary cutter is fine. :-D
