quilted bookmarks--how do you make them??

I'd sugg. looking up miniature quilts, or postage stamp quilts...to get some ideas. I would say you would find a measurement that you want to use...come up w/either very simple patterns or more complex...I'd think if you are selling at a fair you'd want to do something like a star on the top half...reg.or nothing but fabric from there down...sew coordinating fabric, right sides together...leave bottom open to turn right side out. I'd not put any batting in it...quilt and sew open seam shut in the process. Could even add some ric-rac to the edges, etc. before turning right side out so you had a cute edge on them. Or add embelishments like that on only the top and bottom. Just experiment ...what a great idea!! It is always good to have a variety of prices too. Skeat

What about this idea: take skinny strips and sew them together then cut them to the size I want--like the scrappy ones folks make! Or crumb pieces. I don't think I have the patience for the tiny pieces... and this would be a good compromise. A star at the top would be pretty. Turning inside out with no batting is a great idea. :D

Only directions I could find online are for no-sew fabric bookmarks (using fuseable) or this http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Fabric-Bookmark. There is a book, however. http://www.violetpatch.com/shop/inde...&productId=165 The ones I've seen have been around 2" by 6" and sell for 5-10 dollars, depending on level of difficulty.
