Didn't do everything on my list, but I did finish my November (trying for one per month) Linus quilt and bound it. this is only my second FMQ quilt and I'm thrilled with the result. I like the edge-to-edge look of longarms so I took a pantograph and traced it and quilted using my DSW.

At least I finished the shop hop blocks quilt before the machine started playing games. I cleared out a bobbin jam 3 times and decided it may be time to walk away for the evening. Going to get a snack then sit in front of the TV with some hand sewing. Great sewing with all of you today.

I got a couple of units done on my hand quilting. I just got back from my mom's house and was all set to do some more quilting but ds and his gf are sitting here watching Grimm and I have no desire to watch so I guess I won't be hand quilting. Maybe down and clean up the sewing room

    Good work everyone.

I too am done for the day. I had such a good time. Can't wait for the first of the year to do it again. I was pleased that I got done what I wanted. Will finish up some other stuff tomorrow.

I just now had time to get back onto the computer.
My goals for the day ---- HA HA. I longarmed my customer's quilt until I ran out of that color thread, ordered more. Then went to visit my DD and family, spent 22 hours instead of a few minutes! But got to feed and rock to sleep my grandson. Then did two loads of laundry, worked on a block that has 64 pieces (I think). Have the smaller blocks made that form the block.
Ironed 3 work shirts for DH.
Then DH and I cut up and froze green peppers which made 5 gallon bags of green peppers.
DH made supper, I did dishes and cleaned the kitchen.
NOW - time to make some tea and relax. I have to be to work at 7AM.

    Have a good night everyone.

I didn't get to quilt at all today, after all... WAHHHHH! Hubby and son decided it was a good day to cut up and burn some pine trees they felled earlier this year, (due to bugs)! So we had a huge work day outside instead... But I loved checking in and seeing what all of you managed to accomplish today. Just amazing!

I am totally in awe with how much progress this group makes on Virtual Quilting Day. Great work everyone!

I did get the scrappy pink baby quilt cut out and 9 of the 16 blocks made. This quilt was started because I found 40 bright pink squares in my stash and decided to use those along with other pinks for a charity quilt.

During the last VQD, I auditioned many fabrics for setting triangles for a scrappy basketweave quilt. Today, I cut the setting triangles from a dark gold and did not like them at all. Cut another set from a lighter gold and did not like those either. Back to square one. I had stayed away from trying red as there are many reds along the edge of the center. Well - red worked the best. Finally - some rows sewn together.

Had many happy interruptions during the day - but am please to be moving forward with my projects. Looking forward to doing this again in January.Name: IMG_2005 - resized.JPG

I've done 2 sides of my Yellow Brick Road... hoping to finish it during the Sunday night NFL game. That would put me at 3 of 4 goals completed today. Can't wait to browse this thread for eye candy later!

Wow, it looks like there has been a lot of great progress made today!

I've been working on quilting a queen size OBW for DH & I; it's still not done, but now I only have a little bit more than the borders left to quilt. I started quilting it yesterday, and considering I do FMQ using the sit-down "push through" method, I'm feeling pretty darn good about my progress! It's still stuffed under the sewing machine right now, so no pics yet; maybe next weekend... It's off to work for me bright and early in the morning so I probably won't spend much/any time working on it until the weekend rolls around again. I'm hopeful that WE will actually have a quilt for US this winter though. Last year I made 3 bed-size quilts for family members for Christmas, and didn't have time to work on ours.

    Happy quilting!
