Come Virtually Quilt with me Today - 10/14!!

Today is the day!! Virtual Quilt Day. No rules, just tell us your goals, then come back and check in. let us know how it's going, offer some encouragement, and hopefully get loads of sewing done!! We love to see pictures of progress as well. Join in any time you can! This is just a fun way to get that all day sew in feel without having to lug your sewing machine to a shop.

    My goals for today:

    1. Draw at least 3 new patterns
    2. Make up samples for 2 patterns
    3. Take pictures of samples

Not too ambitious, but I have learned that time can get away pretty quickly on these days!!

So what are your goals for today?

    Cheers!
    Rachel

I purchased the Bow Tucks pattern, created by Penny Sturges...I also have a McCalls pattern I bought when Joannes had them for 99 cents..There are also some sites that have free patterns:
    http://pursepatterns.com/free_bag_patterns.html
    http://www.sewingsupport.com/sewing-...hobo-bags.html
    http://sewing.about.com/od/bagstotes...ed-Handles.htm

If you search free purse/tote patterns there is a wealth of info...I tend to use parts of all different ones, to create one I like.

    Good Morning,

Working on some coffee now that the dogs have been fed.
My goal for today is to finish putting the borders on my batik quilt and if I get that done maybe try another 30 minute tote bag.

    Cheers back at you Rachel.

Great idea. I have a fantastic sewing studio in my basement. We could have some sewing marathons down there. I'll PM you.

I am going to finish the final rows on my string pieced quilt. Then add the borders. Whoo Hooo! Another quilt top to add to the quilting pile.

I have at least two lap quilts to quilt using my longarm. Then the binding for them and others I already have quilted. Want to get them in the mail tomorrow.
