I would think they would need them sooner than the deadline as it is cold and snowing in quake area. good idea though.

Yes, I would agree them need them ASAP however, they will need them on an ongoing basis I'm sure.

I'm wondering about the postage costs to send quilts to Japan. Wouldn't they be substantial?

There was someone on board who posted about making quilts and I believe sending them somewhere in the midwest, then they would send them to Japan, I didn't bookmark the page, because I still won't be out of this cast for another 3 weeks.

Equilter site info was posted here as saying where to send quilts. somewhere in Ohio and they send them.

I think just mailing a mass amount of quilts will be a problem without a secure contact that can handle the delivery and distribution. Most agencies are swamped with logistics as they are.

equilter.com is in contact with an agency in OH that will ship them to Japan. Just have to pay postage to OH. Go to their website for more info.
