Confused by the initials used in topics

I do enjoy reading the various topics raised on this message board, but I am at a loss to understand the shorthand initials used. - BOM. etc. :?: Is there a list of initials and their meanings that one could refer to :?:

This was good... some of the initials had different meanings than I thought...LOL...and Wow....for me that was really Wow...not White on White...the DIL thought that was Dear Daughter inlaw not darling...that is very helpful! Maybe this should be on the home page or on the very top of page...it maybe since I have not looked yet. Thanks for the link!
