The threads about Connecting Threads and the quality of their fabrics pushed my resistance to the breaking point! And the high prices of gas and cotton didn't help. So, I was very bad and ordered over 18 yards of fabric for $52.00. (Average price came to $2.88 a yard!!) Some of the clearance fabrics were only $2.40 a yard!! I could not resist it. I tried, but those prices won out! LOL!! No spending gas money to drive to the fabric store and no super high fabric prices!! Yay for me!!

I love CT. Have you read the blog and their quilt site? It's great. Full of free patterns and lessons.

Same here, after reading everything here on the board I decided to give it a shot and placed an order last night. I also needed to build a thread stash in preparation for a landscape project, need lots of blues and greens that I didn't have. I bought I think 2 yards ea of 4 different fabric - two batiks and two prints on clearance. I wanted to try it first before spending too much $$$.

You all will be glad you took the plunge. Their thread and fabrics are great and their sales are wonderful.

What a timely thread this is! Today I rec'd my first order from them. I'm in Canada & I didn't wait too long...how nice is that! Anyway, I thought I would buy a bit to see what I thought of the fabrics....well let me just say WOW! I am so happy with my purchase. I am definitely buying more now, really, tonight! Okay, maybe tomorrow! I'm saying it again, I'm very happy!

My last order from them was the Canterbury collection, I love it. Got the abby bag pattern too, just need to get busy...Can't beat their prices.

I have ordered from them a couple of times and I too am in Canada...from what I hear on this board about prices our prices for LQS fabrics are much higher here...so even with the shipping charges it is a great deal...I don't find fabric here for $3.00 and if you do the quality is not LQS...the last time I ordered about 30 yards on sale for under $100..can't beat that...and I was very pleased with the quality of the cotton..

XSQuilter, I have been ordering from connecting threads for a couple of years now and have never been disappointed I'm also from Canada...The only question I always have when I do order from there is the duty/tax they charge me...I've order lots of places out of the US and haven't paid duty yet...but their prices are really good, so I just kinda over look it.
