No, I don't buy waht I can't see, and same with magazines. If they put a plastic bag over it so that it is sealed, I do not buy it.

I also agree about Connecting Threads...they let you see the inside of the book so you know exactly what the patterns look like...has helped me buy some and not buy others...

Me too, have stopped buying books and am starting to let a lot of my magazines go too, so many are nothing but ads anymore. This board and the internet are better and free.

I would not buy a book without seeing inside first. If I see a book at a LQS that I like I check out e bay and amazon. I bought 2 books that I wanted from 2 different places and it cost me $16.00 total including shipping. At a LQS that would not have covered the price of one.
