Default Help me find ths fabric, so I can fix my quilt.

Hello,

Last year my dog destroyed my favorite quilt. It was the first quilt I ever made and it means a lot to me. For the last 10 years it has gone with me wherever life has taken me. I started working on it when I was a Junior in high school and I finished it just before I graduated.
Anyways, I am hoping you can help me get/find the materials I need to fix my quilt. My Mom, the Über Quilter, kept all the scraps from my quilt, but she has used them all up over the last decade. If you know of a way I could find the name of the fabric pattern I used, point me in the direction I need to go. Or, if you are so inclined, look in your stash for the fabric. I am in no way asking for a hand out here, just a helping hand.

**************
I guess there is no need to repeat myself. If you can help please e-mail me.

Thank you for your time.

I don't have any of the fabrics. Am really sorry because I'd love to help you.

There is a website where you can list fabric you're looking for. I cannot remember the name, Someone on this Board will know.

Found the sites

http://www.missingfabrics.com
http://www.allquilting.biz/quilt-blogs/ not too sure about this one, but since it was in my "missing fabric" file thought I might as well pass along

I'm pretty sure the border print is by Jason Yenter for In the Beginning.

This was the main focus fabric in the Wildflower collection (I think - it was his first collection for ITB, and there have been additional Wildflower collections since).

If not the first collection, then the second (name escapes me at this hour).

A quick look on ebay found some of the coordinating prints, but the daisies are more recent.

You can now take the information and try the sites that gollytwo suggested - especially http://www.missingfabrics.com

I LOVE the Yenter fabric. It is amazing. I would go for a big applique. I think when you strart tacking down the damaged area, your applique will be long but not huge.
Your other option is to downsize the quilt somehow, which might be too painfull.

Third option - get a newer yenter fabric on ebay and make a replacement quilt.

Sorry, I don't know what any of the fabrics are but I hope you get them so you can repair your quilt.

Great suggestions - applique or redoing it with a newer collection.

FYI - here is the focus fabric from the soon to be released JY DECO collection (available in Sept 2012):
Very similar colorway - although a bit brighter - and, I have to add, sort of a ripoff of Paula Nadelstern's Luminosity line.
But a very cool fabric.

Here's the whole collection:

As for the large applique - you shouldn't have any trouble finding blender fabrics (Dimples, Marbles, Fusions, etc.) that would coordinate with the border print, and using them to create a similar large flower to cover the crime scene.

Another option is to just write Jason himself (or ITB fabrics - it's his company, with Mom Sharon) to see if there is any hanging around somewhere.

I'm no help with your fabric search but just wanted to say "BAD DOG, BAD DOG!"

Hope you find enough fabrics to repair your well loved quilt.
