Do any of you prewash your cotton batting?

Yes, I prewash needlepunched cotton batts (not traditional ones) unless I am desiring a puckery look in my finished product.

I use warm and natural cotton batting and I never pre-wash it.

I like the soft, crinkly look so I don't prewash cotton batting.

I would think washing batting would be a big mess. I've never done it.

i don't wash, but i do pre-shrink by tossing it in the dryer with a damp towel. as long as it has a srim, i think you're okay. it really depends on the look you're going for.

I don't, but I like the puckery look after you wash the quilt.
If you don't want that look, then follow the directions on the bag to prewash it.

I use Warm & White, and also don't pre-wash. :)
