I too have pet dander allergies and always appreciate the additional information. Post the sign!

Your sign would not offend me at all! I love dogs and cats but do not have them inside my house. We live on a farm and, honestly, it is just the way hubby and I were both brought up. I do not care for the smell of cigarette smoke, in fact, I have returned library books unread because once I got them home, I discovered they reeked of cigarette smoke smell.

Thanks for all your comments. I will go ahead and post a sign stating all materials used are from a smoke-free, pet-free home. After hearing my friend's comment about the sign being offensive, I felt I needed to re-think my decision. Since I'm allergic to pets, I don't have pets but I try to be sensitive to those who do have pets.
