Bree - thank you for the detailed review. I just signed up for some classes on iquilt. I hadn't really looked at them before, but there are some great classes there.

You're able to download all classes from Craftsy, I have ove 40 classes and they are all downloaded to my iPad so that I can watch them when I want/need. I lived in the boonies at the time and would go to my daughters house and download them, I love craftsy!!

How do you download a craftsy class? I can't see anything on the site with information on how to do that and as another out in the boonies dweller it would be wonderful.

On my iPad I have the craftsy app, I open the app, select the class, the class will open and you will find each segment/chapter below that. Each segment/chapter will have an arrow, click the arrow and that segment will begin downloading. You will have to select each chapter to download it, but you can also just ignore the chapters you don't want to download.

I'm not sure about PC, I see they have a playlist feature but I'm not sure if there is a way to download it directly to your PC.......perhaps someone with more expertise will come and answer this question for you.

Youtube is nowhere near paid online classes. They are generally longer more in depth, and you have access to talk to your instructors. Honestly I learned a lot of missed steps in certain techniques where I was using youtube tutorials and not getting the precision I wanted by taking online craftsy classes. Yes they might have some of the same instructors but they are not equal in content

It is only if you own an ipad. It is not available for android devices which sucks Because I love my android devices alot better than the ipad I have used at my inlaws. I adore my samsung galaxy tab

I have done craftsy the most. I love it. I tried creative bug and did not care for it. I just purchased my first iquilt class yesterday and so far am enjoying it as much as craftsy and much better than the Quilting Arts DVDs

I agree. I don't like to pay to watch a video then be informed for the project to work and look right you need to purchase the template on top of it. If I have to, I'll look for a different pattern for my project.
