Look what I found on Craigslist (for 1/3 the price of a new one BTW). My Juki now has a big sister!

I think I'll call her (Big) Bertha! I've set her up as a sit-down model since I don't have a frame or really have room for one either. She did come with wheels as well as front and rear handles, so a frame is a possibility later if I decide I want it, but right now it seems like Heaven to have so much harp space for the big quilts I'm working on finishing before Christmas. The last one I finished on my Juki was a queen-size with a double layer of batting for my granddaughter.

I only did about a 30 second "try-out" with her, and decided she HAD to come home with me; now it's time to get busy!

Any HQ Sixteen tips anyone has for me will be much appreciated as I work on getting to know her!

"Bertha" next to my Juki (who will never be left out, just promoted to piecing and small project FMQ).

Congrats! I can't wait to see what you do with her, because your work is fabulous.

Thank you! From my first sessions with her, I think the transition from the Juki to her will be fairly easy; they both "handle" similarly.

Wow!! What a fantastic buy!! I would love to have that harp space.
Your quilting has been fabulous before, I can't image what it'll be like now.
