Smile Crayola Washable Markers-Wow

Tried these for the first time today after reading all the posts that they worked. WOW...really scary having all those blue marks on beige fabric. But after washing in hot water there was not even a hint of color from the markers. This makes me want to do some new patterns for quilting. Thanks to all those who said they worked!

Great! Besure not to use an iron on them and wash them soon after marking.

I wonder what they would be like if used to mark embroidery patterns onto fabric, since they are washable do they leave any trace of color after washed? I may have to try this out.

My granddaughter's tee shirts from years ago still have some of the colors that did not wash out. I was hesitant to use them on a quilt but it seems the markers have improved since then.

Using these markers are like anything else.....you MUST try it out on a scrap of fabric first to see if it will all wash out. I've had great results using them on my quilts, but always testing first. I've even accidentally ironed the marked areas (with steam) and it still all washed out! I am using the generic brand of markers and they work fine too.

I used the crayola markers...the dark brown one on . . . on a green quilt's borders....wasn't satisfied with the design and put it away for 4 years. I got it out last fall and ignored the design and big diamonds in the borders. Then I washed it in cold water, dried it in my home drier and it came right out. This may not happen with all materials...but that brown marker on green cotton will come out.

Question Colours to avoid

Are there any colours of markers to avoid using...anyone have any trouble with a particular colour?
