For those of you who have made one did you use transparent textile paint after your coluring was done.
Was reading on quiltbus that this hepls set the colour better if its going to be washed.
Also they said they used watercolur wax crayons with reg crayons. What is the difference
Thanks Gale

Hi grma33,
I have made 2 one with dinosaurs and another with Pixies, fairies. I only used crayola crayons. Don't really know what you are talking about. I do know you are not supose to wash or dry in heat. I really don't know how long they will last, I made them for my 7 and 4 yr. old GrtGkids. I have caution the moms not to wash in hot water and not to dry in hot dryer. So I will know one day how they keep their color. Right now Both quilts are very bright.
I am so full from Christmas food and cheer, I got on here for a min. to relax. I know this didn't help you. Sorry.

I saw your quilts and they are beautiful. Your grandkids will love them forever!
I read about treating it on quiltbus so the colur will last longer if it going to be washed lots.
Maybe you would like to chek it out.
Thanks Gale

That is exactly what I am going to do after I look at some posts. Thanks. Bonnie

I looked and that is very interesting now where do I get such a thing as Textile medium and Transparent Textile Paint?  Didn't know there was such a thing.
