I soak a pressing cloth in 1 quart of water with 1 cup white vinegar. wring out and you can even let it dry to use on any creases with a steam iron over and over again. I use this to put creases in pants or slacks. So try this. I have done this for about 60 years for clothes as well as quilting.

Vinegar smell washes out, no lingering odor.

And did you notice vinegar was one of the few solutions that didn't require going to the store for a special purchase???
