How do you do your fabric. I went to help April, (MDD) last Sat. with her fabric so had to come home and do mine, it went from that to this, have lots more to do but so worth it. They fit in perfect now on the bookcases my son made for me.Now I can just pick what I need instead of having to pull it all off the shelf.

Looks great! That's how I do mine. I have my fabric in a Nintendo DS cardboard display I swiped from work (they weren't using it and it was just going to end up in the compactor). I have my fabric folded like you do, but I can never seem to fold all of them to the same width.

Wow that looks nice! I see some fabrics I would love to pull off the shelf too.(butterflies, turtles lol) It really makes a difference when you have the right shelves and someone to make them!

Thank you, I roll them on the 36" ruler by 6" and than just fold them in half and I just love it this way. Guess ya can say it's like going shopping all over again, find things I forgot I had.

I may have to try that ruler idea. Sounds good.

Ohhh I know the feeling. While dh does work on my sewing room that I can't help with, I have been doing my fabric like this. It does look alot better and I figure now I will be able to go right to what I need. But it has taken me a long time to get it done.lol I'm sure you do like it better.

Be forewarned fabric can wick stains from the wood! This was a costly learning curve for me a few years back. Use some kind of plastic shelf liner on the bottom to protect your fabric.
