    What is a crumb quilt? I never heard of this before. Please explain.

    It's a quilt made out of tiny scrap pieces...parts so small that many quilters throw them out. The same pieces can be used in applique and miniature blocks.

    Sometimes the crumb blocks are in crazy quilt patterns, others include recognizable block patterns (usually miniatures). Some crumb block makers use the leader/ender technique as described on quiltville with scraps of current projects so they're using every bit of fabric.
