Have any of you used the Curve Master Foot? They say it makes sewing opposite curves foolproof and I am wondering if that is true. Thanks for you input.

I have this little jem and have yet to use it. I don't know if I even remember how to use it! I'll have to watch a demo again at the next quilt show.

I have it and used it right after I bought it to make Drunkard's Path blocks and it does work.

I saw a lady on Simply Quilts using a 1/4" straight stitch foot (the kind with the little 1/4" guide on the side) use that foot the same way the Curve Master works. I tried it and it does work, also but the Curve Master is easier. It does take some practice so don't count on your first few blocks being the correct size. Allow for trimming until you get the hang of it.

Oh, and I paid about $30 for mine at the quilt show in Paducah 5 years ago.

It's at Amazon.com for $19.99 - http://www.amazon.com/Curve-Master-P.../dp/B001J5LKPE - also Ken's Sewing & Vacuum Center for $19.99 - http://kens-sewing-vacuum-center.ama...B001J5LKPE.htm - might want to check out shipping costs for either and compare.

I bought one several years ago (new item then, I think) and it was partnered at that time with lovely pinpoint tweezers, an aid to feeding your curved fabrics into the foot. I use the tweezers often, especially when I'm doing machine embroidery ... they're ideal for grabbing little thread ends that need snipping off in areas where my fingers won't fit. I just found the curve master foot available at several suppliers, but not together with the tweezers anymore. They're sold separately now. I only used the curve master foot a couple of times to see it it works and it does seem to.
