    Default curves your opinions

i am getting ready to sew a baby quilt that will have tons of curved pieces. normally i starch all the fabrics like there is no tomorrow but with curves in this pattern i am not sure i should starch. i have made a few blocks ,sample ones, and about half the fabric is starched. not sure how i liked workimg with the starched pieces. what do you guys think? should i starch or not?

I probably wouldn't starch because curves need some stretch to fit together properly. But try it both ways and see what works best for you.

I just did some apple core pieces and it would have bothered me to have them starched. So I am on the no starch side.

I do lots of curves in drunkards paths and new York beauty quilts and do not starch. You need the slight easing ability.

I am on the no starch side. At least for me, I need the easing ability without having to fight the stiffness.

I am making a modern quilt with curves. I am starching after sewing. That works really well.

I did a drunkards path and didn't starch it. Worked fine.

I like to starch. it helps to reduce stretching.

I do a lot with curves of all sizes, never starch any of them.
