Online Machine Quilters
I'm a few weeks out from finishing my latest project, but I'm starting to look into where I want my newest creation to be machine quilted by a long arm quilter. I don't really have a local quilt shop in my area (well, I have one, but I hate it and the long arm quilter is always backed up for a year +). Every other quilt I've done, I've just done myself, so this will be my first time getting it done by a professional.
So tell me, has anyone ever sent away their quilt? To whom? Were you pleased with the results?
Right now I'm leaning towards Missouri Star Quilt company because, let's face it, Ms. Jenny is just delightful in her tutorials AND they can do your binding for you (the one step in quilting I just plum dislike) but I want to see what some other options are. Suggestions?

Here is a list of some of our members here that offer quilting services

I would love to use them but the postage would be insane from Australia, there are some very talented quilters

many of us who are long-arm quilters have (long-distance) customers= it's fairly common-
look through the list here on the board & see if there is someone in your neck of the woods- look at the different styles, contact one (or more) through private messaging and ask for pricing, policies & time frames....some people have a couple weeks turn around- some are backed up for months- everyone has their own (style) of quilting
communication is VERY IMPORTANT when it comes to choosing a *long-distance* quilter-
also be sure & ask about shipping/packaging/insurance details.
