The closest I ever came to a "quilt in a day" that still isn't finished, is a log cabin kit that I bought on ebay. The fabric was already cut into the correct size strips and is coordinated beautifully. There are 16 16" squares. I couldn't have bought the fabric for what I paid and my time is very precious, so I got a great deal. I loved sewing the squares together. Unfortunately, that is where I got interupted and it is still not complete since July!

When I started a few weeks ago a gear broke in my sewing machine and I had to get it fixed which took two weeks. So in the mean time I started cutting my squares. It did take a long time time to cut but I was able to get about 16 train cars cut. It takes me 1 to 2 hours depending on which train pattern I am on to sew the block together. I am now back to cutting. I will be cutting tree blocks starting Friday, hopefully I can start sewing them Sunday. Kyia
