My daughter was going to place an order with them but needed to get to a certain dollar amount to get the free shipping, so I browsed the site and found some things I wanted (4 fabrics) to complete her order. When we ordered, the site said all the items were in stock. Here's the problems:

1. After the order was placed, we get an e-mail saying one of my fabrics was out of stock. O.k., just forget about that one.
2. After that, we get another e-mail saying that the 5 yards that I wanted of one of the fabrics could not be done all in one cut and they only had 4.5 yards left of it (one cut in 3 yards and 1.5 yards in another cut). O.k., send what you have.
3. Order arrives today. One of the fabrics sent it totally incorrect. It was supposed to be 2 yards of a checkered homespun fabric. Instead, it's 2 yards of 108" backing fabric in a really ugly mottled brown - totally wrong.

Anyone else have these many issues with a single order with them? By the way, this was our first (and most likely last) order with them. My daughter is going to contact them to see about how to do the return of the incorrect fabric.

I just placed my first order with them today.

I guess I will have to wait and see what happens.

Hope you can work things out.

I've never ordered from them before.
That's awful that you are having so much trouble with them.
I sure hope they take the fabric back and return your money!

I used to order from them a lot, but started buying @ Fabric Depot instead because of their huge selection of Batiks. When I did use them, only had a problem once. When I called, they told me just to keep the fabric, and they issued me a credit. Couldn't complain about that!

I have ordered from them without any trouble. put my order in used a coupon got free shipping, and my order arrived fairly quickly.

I would contact them like you said your daughter was going to and see if they make it right.
I guess I am just a little to optimistic when it comes to things like this. Human error does happen, but as long as they right their wrong I don't say all bets are off!

Good luck and I hope they make it right!

I also have had several orders with them and I think twice they did not have the yardage that I ordered but I knew when I place the order I was close to clearing their inventory and since they were just for stash I was okay with them being short shipped. I would hope that they will correct the error with the incorrect fabric they sent you

Sorry Eddie. That's disheartening, esp if you're ready to work on projects & need the fabrics like NOW! Hope it all works out for you & your dau.

This was all just stash fabric that I was ordering, not for any specific project. I was just surprised how the stars seemed to line up for so many problems with it all. On those homespun fabrics, if I recall correctly their online inventory said that they had quite a bit of it all, like 15-20 yards of each. So was surprised when I got the e-mail that they were out of one of them. And then the fabric I wanted 5 yards of, I remember their online system said that they had a good bit of it as well, so surprised to have to get multiple cuts and then less of what I ordered. I then there's that hideous wrong fabric they sent - ewww! :D Oh, well, we'll get it worked out.
