Darlene Zimmerman Hexagon Ruler
A friend gave me a Darlene Zimmerman hexagon ruler that she never used. The ruler came with instructions on how to use it, but she lost the instructions. Does anyone know how to use this ruler? I can figure out how to make the 5 1/2" squares but how about 5"?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I don't have one but I looked at a pic of the ruler - it looks like it gives directions for 5 1/2" hexagons - finish at 5"; then 4 1/2" finish at 4" - and so on. There may be a youtube video -I often look for one when I am puzzled.

I have that template. Cut strips of fabric. ie: If you want a 3" Hexy you cut strip 3.5. for a 5" you cut the strip 5.5. Then 1. Center tool onto strip of fabric, aligning the correct size hex with edges of fabric. Cut along right side. 2. Slide tool across strip, aligning left point with "V" in fabric strip. Cut along right sides. 3. Turn fabric, align tool with edges on left, and trim corners on right. Repeat down length of strip...(you add 1/2" to unfinished hexy..as stated, for a finished 5" hexy you need to cut the strip 5.5 (5 1/2)....Hope this helps..Donna
