Just my two cents: Anything from Guidelines4Quilting is awesome! I have their prep tool to give me an accurate 1/4" scant seam and their guides to make the scant 1/4" seam. I bet the Grip Strips are wonderful. I use Invisigrip and am not crazy about it. It's on every ruler I own, but I'd be willing to take it off and use Grip Strips in a heart beat.

I tried Invisigrip a long time ago and decided it didn't help much. Tried the Grip Strips recently and ***love*** them! Nothing's perfect, but the Grip Strips are the best I have found -- and I have tried many things in the past, including adhesive sandpaper dots, etc.

One question-do the grip strips raise your ruler above the fabric? I had some kind of grippers that did and it made it really hard to line up fabric to the lines when they weren't touching.

Thank you to all the quilters who responded! I do believe GripStrips are what I'm looking for. I have tried the sandpaper dots and I'm rather fond of the rubber cement, but I want to try the GripStrips. Again, thank you all!

I bought the GripStrips to put on my June Tailor Shape Cut, which I cannot do without. I put one at 2-1/2", 5", 7-1/2" and 10", plus at the 1/2" and after the 11-1/2", because it was shifting on the fabric. Spacing them like that, it helps when I'm squaring up the fabric at "0", then when I'm cutting 2, 2-1/2 and 3", then 4-1/2, 5, 5-1/2 and 6; then 7, 7-1/2, and 8, then 11, 11-1/2 and 12. My strips are much straighter now.

One of those rubberized thingys you use to cushion a sink - $1.00 at the Dollar Dtore. I cut little pieces off and stick to backside of rulers with double side tape. Works fantastic. Got the idea from my sweet 16 dealer. I will have enough for the rest of my life.

Can you really slide your ruler around for precise placement or does it "stick" too much? I have a triangle ruler that came with the gripper material on the ruler and it is really hard to nudge it to the very edge of the fabric. It was too frustrating for me.
