I belong to a quilt guild that has a group sew day the first Saturday of each month.
We call the sew days: First Saturdays. Members and guests are welcome to come and work on ufos or community service projects.

There is also 2 local quilt shops that offer Ladies Night Out. One shop charges $5 and asks that you bring a dish to share. The other quilt shop offers the second Fri. of the month and asks all to bring food to share and it is free.

Happy quilting to you.

I'm so lucky to quilt on tuesdays with a great group (10) ladies. We help each other, gossip, sew, knit go out to eat and this is at our LQS. The shop owner is a super person too. I was very sick from May to Sept and these ladies came to see me or kept it touch all the time. It's wonderful to have great friends that like being together & helping each other.

Judi, have you visited the several LQS in the Denver area? I'll bet if you hang out there, or take a class or two, you'll meet someone to "play" with!! I sure hope you find someone!! There are several shops in the area. I've not been to them, but I looked them up in the yellow pages when we were in Breckenridge last fall. DH says we'll go into Denver next time we're in Colorado...

There's a local quilt group that meets one day a month at the public library which is always fun.

I am a member of a group to "runs away" every other month for a long weekend. We stay at a hotel and rent the conference room which is set up for a huge sewing room. The hotel gives us a great price and we share rooms, however it is in a location (not far from home) wherein you don't have to stay if your budget does not permit. We have the sewing room all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It's a group of 20 ladies, and we have a blast. We call ourselves the Renegade Runaways! There are such a variety of quilting styles and experience. Everyone is so helpful. It's great fun!

Welcome to Colorado! Google Colorado Quilting Guilds online and you may find a guild close to you. Also, you can contact Colorado Quilting Council which lists a lot more guilds. Good luck!

We a group of anywhere from 4 to 8 gals who get together every other Thursday from 10 to 2 at each other's homes. We do a brown bag lunch and the hostess provides coffee and desert. We just work on "whatever we're doing at the time." - Just good quality time together.

Your group sounds wonderful! I live in a small town and a group of 3 or 4 of us attend " classes" with a local lady at her home. We have learned so much, our teacher is very talented. We meet on Thursday evening and I have really enjoyed making friends with all of the "girls". We laugh lots and share ideas for projects which is very inspiring. I love to see what everyone is working on! This group is very special to me, they have really added to my enjoyment of quilting!
