I attended the Portales show and admired your quilt and the work you put into it. It looked great hanging, the lighting was really good in the venue this year.

Wow! I didn't see your quilt on your previous thread, but, while I normally prefer much more sedate looking quilts, I'm absolutely floored by what you did with that Fons and Porter pattern. Hope you sent them a picture of it. You have inspired me to give that pattern a try using fabrics more in line with what you have done. That's a real beauty and I'm so glad you found it.

Good to read a story with a happy ending. Congratulations re the Merchant's Award. Maybe it'll be FQs or yardage for your stash.

Whoa, that is a little scary! Glad that it all worked out for the good. Contrary to a lot of stories in the media, there are a lot of honest, trustworthy people out there. A friend of mine traveled to Sisters, OR to teach one year but forgot to take her sample quilts with her. She called me, told me how to get into her house and where to find the quilts, and then how to send them to her. I was nervous about doing this mostly because of having to put them in the mail. I was so relieved to get the call that they arrived safely. She was not concerned! It can be nerve wracking to trust a precious-to-you quilt to another person's care.

(Oh and by the way, your quilt is stunning!!!)
