Death...quilt label?

Death...quilt label?
I want to make my girlfriend's husband's t-shirts into a quilt. Isn't there a "poem" or "saying" that works well in this case? If so, please share or post the link!
Thanks much,
Ginger

I like this saying! I am working on 3 memory quilts for my nephews from their mom's tee shirts. I may use it on the back. Thanks for sharing.

I wrote this poem that I put on for quilts I made for my siblings and aunts from my mom’s clothing when she passed away:
When you’re sad and feeling blue
And you are missing me,
Wrap up in this cuddle quilt
And I’ll be close, you see.
For I am with always,
Every minute, every day -
I may be up in Heaven now,
But in your heart I’ll stay.
When you’re sad and feeling blue
And you are missing me,
Wrap up in this cuddle quilt
And I’ll be close, you see.
For I am with always,
Every minute, every day -
I may be up in Heaven now,
But in your heart I’ll stay.

Do you remember the episode on Little House of the Prairie that a dying mother asked Charles to arrange homes for her children after her passing? I believe Patricia Neal was the star. At the end she says something to the effect of Do not remember me with tears but with smiles and laughter as that is how I will remember you. Perhaps you can find her exact quote online?? but it is a favorite of mine.

My baby sister lost her husband last January a few days after their anniversary. She and her father in law are having a difficult time with it and asked me to make them quilts from his shirts. I’ve never done one, but for her, I’d do anything to help her smile again. I think the poems are lovely and think I’ll steal your ideas, if that’s acceptable?

I made a quilt with my cousins shirts for his mother. I put his favorite hymn on it. (This quilt is based on a Sewing With Nancy episode of modern quilts about 2-3 years ago).
