Hi. I wanted to know if you can mix different fabrics with denim for a different look?

Erin, of course you can mix fabrics. Just remember that denim is a heavier fabric than cotton. You may wish to use a beefy fabric, such as a good quality flannel.

Try mixing denim with courdoroy. Since they are both heavy it will balance better when washing and the fabric won't tear as easily than if it were heavy and light weight fabric sewn together. I am planning a courdoroy quilt and putting flannel on the backing.

The heavier cotton twills also work.
