My friend designs for JCrew. She tells me cut off jeans will be the rage, cut long from boot style jeans. I cut 12 " from the bottom of a well worn pair. The jeans are comfy. The young girls wear them with opaque tights & heels or boots. (Not me.) Now I have a pile of denim to pass on to Yolanda!

Living with a gorgeous bunch of fashion savvy young women- who are also ardent feminists- I can't help but notice the contradiction.
