Hi all, as you all know my daughter will be getting married soon, so I will have a spare bedroom. Guess where I'll get a sewing room......anyway, I want one of the walls to become my design wall. What would be the best inexpensive way to make one?

I like two sheets of insulation board covered with flannel or batting. Use a coupon from Joanns for the covering  :D:D:D

You could hang a flannel backed table cloth on the wall, flannel side out.

You might be able to pick up a flannel sheet inexpensively rather than yardage.

I picked up some flannel from my local thrift store for $2.00. I used push pins in the corners and voila`....a design wall. It doesn't get any easier than that.

Go to hardware store and get the cieling tiles that look like cottage cheese; the ones in alot of businesses. You can attach them to the wall; they hold pins and in case you use a steamer to get out wrinkles they are flame retardent. You can also cover them w/newspaper and put your quilt on it to spray and baste if you use spray. Takes up almost no room

This way is really cheap and works very well. Also you can roll up the table cloth and take it with you without having the blocks move! For other ideas do a SEARCH. This topic has been discussed before and many good ideas were posted.
