Yes. It is thinner generally. You just have to shop more carefully as there are some that have not changed. I'm fortunate that I have several shops near me that provide options for buying.

I work with a charity group that gets large donations when a quilter passes away. We have cotton some fabric that is 36 wide. Remember when that was the normal?
Just a thought - is it possible there are some counterfeits out there? Everything else seems to be getting counterfeited. I have not really noticed that much difference on most, but occasionally I do.
Your question is timely, because I was wondering the same thing (and I have only been quilting for a year). I bought some Zen Grey Moda Bella Solid in July 2014 from FQS. It is nice and thick. I needed some more yardage to complete a project and bought some more from MSQ. It arrived today and the texture is completely different. It is loosely woven and silky rather than tightly woven and thick. It is so thin, I can see through it. It feels really cheap. I checked the product codes and I did buy the same fabric. MSQ doesn't sell any other yardage lines in light grey, so I believe they sent me the correct fabric. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed Moda Bella has changed in the last few months?
