I am doing a jeans rag quilt. Been thinking of the pattern I wish to do it in as I have different color jeans to work with and more than enough to pull of a simple pattern. I was looking at the windows block at quilters cache it is 8".
Now if I did this with the center being a different fabric than jean and did not rag that part but just the outside frame of the window block, would I have problems or would I be OK?
This would make a lighter quilt that I good even back or do a reverse rag on. If I did not rag the inner window section on the front I could do it for the back right? Just make sure I have the 1/2 inch seam allowance.

I am assuming you are using older jeans, I would just make sure to prewash your other fabric so you do not have a shinkage issue. Please be sure and post a picture of this quilt, we would all love to see it :D

Great I am going to make one block and see how it goes. I am going to change the pattern from the center to a soild square instead of 4 traingles. Should make it a bit easier.
Thanks for reminding me about washing other fabric I have not done that and I bought it years ago.
