Default Which direction?

While surfing the web I found a blog with this pattern for a baby quilt, and fell in love with it. Then I found fabric that I also fell for! Good match right? Well, the original design had all the stripes horizontal, with one long vertical stripe. I loved it. Now, the more I look at it, the more I think I need to turn it and make it the squares the top of the quilt, instead of the side.

Now, this might be because I haven't added the final white border. But I would hate to add the border, and have to rip it out because I added too much to the "wrong" side. What do you think? Vertical or horizontal?

I love the colors you selected and think it will be beautiful either way. Just do it the way you like best.

I love it just the way it is. White borders would look good, too.

Lay it on top of a white sheet as it would look if you added the borders either way and then see what you think

I think I agree - I would finish it just the way it is. It will look fantastic.

I will have to remember this - what a great way to make a quilt that is not too fussy!!

Eparys is right -- I'm going to keep your quilt in mind for my baby quilt list --- I make lots of baby quilts, and this one is very simple and beautiful. I like your quilt just the way it is!
