Have any of you owned or do own a Husqvarna Viking Sapphire 875, and how do you like it?
And would you list any pros or cons that you have found with this machine.

I'm in the market for an upgrade, and have been looking for a few months. I've found this machine at a local dealer and have test driven it several times. I'm this <---------------> close to buying it, the hubs is all for it..
But before I jump in, I would like to get some feed back from more knowledgeable folks.. YOU.

Thanks for your input!

Sorry, I have an Elna. I would think it would be a good machine.

Hi Lynne. Not long ago we had a long discussion about Vikings here--look in the search box at the top of the page. I have a Viking 830 and love it. Just wish it had a bigger throat but I can't afford those ones LOL!!

I have that particular machine and I just love it. I really like that it cuts the thread for you when you are done sewing, I also like the up down needle positions. It is just an all around good machine.

I have the 870 and, after some practice, we are now friends. _:-)_ What I couldn't get used to was having no foot lever. Drove me nuts until I figured out that I can raise and lower the needle to check placement of the fabric. I also went to a Kinko's type store and had the manuals spiral bound into one set; so many options, I refer to them constantly especially if I've been away from the machine for a while.

I think you'll like it. It's certainly a nice machine and offers lots of features.

I have the 875Q and I love it. There are many wonderful features to this machine but two of my favorites is the Sensor Foot Pivot that allows the machine to stop with the needle down and automatically lifts the foot allowing you to pivot the fabric. Plus the system will sense varying fabric thickness and adjust the foot pressure accordingly. Also, the dual lighting is great!! :)

I have a friend with a Husky and she loves it. Goes to Martha Pullen's seminars every year with it. I have a Janome and I love it.
