Or just straight lines from sash to edge...then stitch off edge for 3/4 finger width, go back to sash, Sid 3/4 fingers and back to edge......all the way around..at corner you can just do a diagonal to corner.......just a thought

Gorgeous border fabric --and so are the others! This border pattern gives you several options to toy with FMQ. You might try circles to mimic the ones elsewhere. You could do a daisy design every 5-6 inches with a curving vine connecting them. Or do a vine with leaves (easy ovals). I am not very experienced so I love the forgiving nature of busy fabrics that hide my woopsies.

I think it's necessary to quilt the borders, at least as much as the main quilt. I have a way of quilting the border that I like, you mark spaces along the border, then straight lines between the marks to get a diamond type border. It's easy and I have gotten compliments on the border. Since you have square blocks, you could zig zag down one side, then the other, using the blocks for measurements. That is probably clear as mud, but I hope it helps.
