Just watched this video for the Wonder Ruler:

It looks impressive but I have a bizzillion rulers. Can I do this without that special ruler?

Sorry, but I wouldn't spend the $$. I have plenty of rulers with various degree markings that do the same thing.

I bought it. I can't do without new gadgets and this does really nice half square triangles. Haven't tried the 3 color ones yet. I bought it originally to do Bonnie Hunter's Diamond Strings pattern, but I find I use it for half square triangles a lot now.

I'm confused. The video said it doesn't give you biased edges to have to work with, but then she cuts the strips of fabric on a diagonal. Maybe I'm missing something, but that results in biased edges ... doesn't it? :?:

If you start with bias cut strips you would end up with straight of grain triangle squares but she did not do that. Her squares have all bias edges. Maybe the instructions that come with it give different directions for cutting. Personally, I would not buy this.
