Default Do i rip, or live with it?

I recently purchased this project at a quilt store in Seattle that I recently visited.

I went to sew the top and bottom Flying Geese borders to the top and bottom of the quilt top, and realized that I sewed the right and left side incorrectly, with the Geese flying into the quilt, instead of, away.

Question is, do I rip it out and sew them on the way they are supposed to be - with the Geese flying away from the quilt - or do I rip it out? Of course, that would mean ripping out the largest sides. ugh!!

Thanks in advance for your opinion!

I'd leave it exactly as is -- it adds another fun, unconventional touch to a lovely sampler quilt. You have a beautiful quilt inspector, too!

I like the sides, you can always flip the top and bottom, they are shorter. My rule is if you stare at it for a few days and it still bugs you get the ripper.

No one except possibly another quilter would even know that you reversed the border strip. It's just a "design element, quilter's choice" that you have added to your quilt.

I think it looks fine. However, if it is going to always bug you it is all about you!

If it was me I would rip it out. What happened to the bottom did you run out of fabric.?

It looks good... remember the top of any quilt can be different

That is a gorgeous quilt! I actually like the way the geese are on the sides better than on top and bottom, so I would flip the top and bottom pieces. I've found that if something bothers me it's quicker to fix it than to agonize about it. Please show this again when it's finished - it's going to be beautiful. I just love those colors.
