I love looking at fabric and I'm right there with you, I definitely pick up fabric just because. Also, it's how I save money, when I see fabric on sale. Especially now, there are a lot of sales. I purchase for my stash, for some future project yet to be born. Also if I see a pattern that I really like, I download it if it's free or buy it, or take it from a magazine. I keep a binder of my wish list of future projects to make. By keeping them in a binder there all together, then I can just look through when I'm ready to make something.

Of course! That is why my sewing room looks like it is throwing up sewing machines and fabric.

Yes! And I love it! I'm addicted! I used to buy 1/2 yard cuts if I didn't have a project in mind, then realized it wasn't enough. I moved to 1 yard cuts if I didn't have a project in mind, then realized it wasn't enough. Now I'm buying 1.5 yard cuts.

I go to my fabric stores just to build my stash! Love to go into my stash closet and have everything I need to start the next project or quilt. I always check out the sales and whenever I find something {at a good price} and I like it, it is added to my stash. Just love looking at all my pretty fabric.

I sure do! I'm usually pretty careful that they fall into my 'favorite colors' category, or blend with my home or someone else's that I may make a throw or wall hanging for birthday/Christmas gifts. I have a portable filing cabinet full of purples when my daughter was 'in' to purples. Now that she's moved on to 'aqua', at least most will blend!
I rarely purchase from Joann's anymore, it used to be my favorite place to be for quilting fabric and other 'crafty' stuff. The prices there, while lower than the traditional quilting shops, are still higher than I can find online with Quilt in a Day and other websites. Happy Piecing!

Always!!! Sometimes I find myself buying fabric because I like it and get home and I have nothing to go with it. That means I just get to buy more!!!!! I never plan projects.
