Do you do the block of the month blocks?

Make them into a quilt. Some I've used for couch throws, some I've bought extra fabric and made up to kingsize quilts with them. And I must confess, some are still hanging on skirt hangers on the rack in my sewing room. One or two never got finished at all.

i have started a few bom's never seem to finish them...they take too long, 6 -7 months into it i'm usually moving on and find it hard to go back and finish later. and lots of time i like the patterns but would rather use my own fabrics instead of what comes in the kits.
the bom's that you just follow along with patterns i have started saving the patterns each month for the year, then when i have them all i will start...less chance of getting side tracked 6 months down the road

I printed out the BOM Balitimore Bliss and have even bought the material for it. I started another applique block as I had never done applique before just for a practice, although I haven't been able to touch it for a week.
When I go on vacation I plan on bringing the Baltimore Block with me so I can at least do hand sewing. I am also bringing along my Yo-Yo's (the first thing I ever started) as I have many, many more to make. I would like that to be for a queen bed.
I do intend to do the whole 12 months worth of patterns, it may take me a few years though. This is one I will keep for myself, I think. I have a very difficult time saying no! :!:
