I have found a photo of an old quilt I had and for the life of me I don't know what happened to it, but it is really lovely and I wonder if someone knows what this pattern is and how I make it.
the old westie wrapped in it is my first of this breed. He was so lovable and he loved being wrapped in this blanket.
I guess those hand stitched butterflies and embroidered on the cotton.

my blog is http://quiltingforfunandmorefun.blogspot.com
I didn't know how to post the photo here.
thanks for replies in advance

Not really being able to see more of the quilt, to me, it looks like squares with the butterfly embroidered on them.

I just have one. God, don't know what I would do if I had to handle more than one. We travel and he travels really well, even has his own seat in the car so he can see out the window.
We had an english cocker spaniel that was his companion and he was probably the best dog I ever had in my entire life of keeping dogs. Great disposition, and sooooooo beautiful in colour, that we were always being asked what kind was he, where did we get him etc. He was a rescue dog and we got him when he was about 6 mos old. Rusty colour and that was his name.
This one's name is "Wilson" after the movie with Tom Hanks, Castaway, the ball etc.
My husband says Wislon Pickett.
