Drag out your graph paper. It's simple squares, triangles adn strips.

The name is definitely Sonnie's Play House. I used this block in a sampler quilt I made for Sonny, my son-in-law because of the name of the block The fabric I used was deep red, blue, green and gold.. The pattern was included in Quilters Newsletter Magazine Jan-Feb 96. It is a Kansas City Star pattern.

Kitsie - - -

That's fabulous!! I'm BOM chair at my quilt guild and this would make a great BOM. May I use it??? Will definitely share any pics.

Thanks,

Jane

This is a very pretty block. Hope you get it figured out. Have always been good at drafting up the blocks. Took a course at the college--I was always good in math---and they told me I should be a draftsman---draftswoman. If I see a block I like I can draft it up to any size but there are so many beautiful patterns out there that most times I am working from a pattern...theirs or mine.

Well I finished my Sonnie's Play House block. I messed up on a couple of the set triangles, as you can tell. But overall I really like it. I don't have much material since I am just starting out but I still like it. I am not sure if the picture was uploaded so if not I will try again.
Thank you everyone for being so helpful!!! I would have not been able to figure it out w/o your help.

Default Sonnie's Play House

I finally got this to download. I have a new camera and didn't know how to make the pictures smaller. It was so much fun interacting w/ everyone that I was bummed when I couldn't get it attached. I don't have many choices of material so I used what I had. I do like it even though I didn't think I would. It came out fairly well, I think. I still have to work on triangles on a point but I am getting better at it. Thanks again for all the information and kind words. Glad I was able to contribute a new pattern. This looks great - what a good job you did! You were brave to use stripes; a directional print always complicates things.

Happy to help!
