I have never appliqued before and I like the idea of fusible webbing. My question is... how does this work with hand quilting? Is it harder to quilt through something that is fused on? Has anyone done it?

If it's small pieces I would be quilting around the outside of it but, I wondered anyway 'cause you never know.

Only lite types of fusible can be hand quilted, I think. It is harder to push the needle through a fusible but it can be done for a small project. I don't think anyone would attempt it for a bed quilt.

A member did post a link to a site that gave good instructions for using fuisable stuff, when ironed onto the material the centre was cut out just leaving the edges. I know this sounds as clear as mud but maybe someone remembers this link and can point you in the right direction
