yes, I do. I have made several of them. They are very fun. I have one that I made out of neckties. It's pretty cool.

This is also on my list (#347 I think LOL) but I have a question for those that do make them: are all the block pieces cut the same or is each block made up of random shapes? I keep looking at pictures and the fabric in most blocks varies but I can't tell if the pieces are the same or different in each block. I love embellishing and think I'd really like to do this type quilt. Thanks.

The starting piece is usually 5 sided (five edges) and continue to add pieces.

I am doing a crazy patch at my LQS and each block is made up with different pieces. You can either "plan" the block with a foundation or just start with a central piece and add random pieces up to the size you want.

I want to also! There is a tutorial which I bookmarked called "Confusion". It's a way of crazy quilting and it looks fun and easy. Check it out!

That is one way to do it. There are a couple more, but I like Confusion.

We have a group we call "Crazy Q's" here. We have been meeting at the library once a month, lately some of us have been meeting in my salon every other Sunday afternoon for more time, once we finish our block, we pass it around for everyone to embellish. Some embellish with silk ribbons, some with buttons, some with their fancy machine stitches, some with beads, etc. They always come back looking fabulous. Anyone in Fort Myers Florida that would like to join us, PM me and let's make a date to "crazy quilt"
