I do machine embroidery redwork Sunbonnet Sue blocks. I have never made the applique blocks but I love to see everyone's work. I do love Sue!

I've made several. only found three pics.
one was PP six inch ones. i had not done PP before so i made my own templates and pieced them that way.
i prefer doing larger ones and stitching with a blanket stitch.

I made this as a consignment quilt. It is loosely based on the Quilt in a Day Sunbonnet Sue book.

I made a real cute one years ago but it got away from me. 1930s windy day pattern. Currently I am working on a Sunbonnet Witch Halloween quilt which is turning out great but I kind of regret starting a big one and hand stitching. It's in 3rd place on my to finish list.

Some cute ideas here. Haven't made one in about 25 years or so. Wow, getting older here....
